Open Labo is a creative space where kindred craft folks can explore creatively together.

If you are a creative soul who has tried pottery and wants a space to explore refining your skills on a pottery wheel or handbuilding, come by our studio for a visit.

Space is really a luxury in Singapore and having your own wheel, kiln or space to practise ceramics may be a challenge. That is why we started Issho Labo Open Studio as a welcoming space and craft laboratory.

Our studio package starts with 5 sessions, which can be used over 2 months.

5 sessions is $225, making each session $45.
Each session is 3 hours long, and in the studio you are free to use the tools, pottery wheels, slab machine and explore creatively as long as you are mindful that this is a shared space with others.

Our package does not include clay and glazes but we offer member rates for firing.

Our studio is located near Aljunied MRT and a foot’s throw away from Sims Vista Food Centre with lots of food options. It’s like our second home for us to rest and unwind with craft.

In the workshop area, we have communal tools, Shimpo pottery wheels, a slab rolling machine for slab pottery explorations. We also have a pantry stocked with refreshments.

We also hold bi-monthly markets in our retail area where you can sell your pieces.

Members are encouraged to get your own clay and glazes as these are not included in the package.

However, we usually group buy our materials and can help you purchase and get them delivered.

Basic tools, pottery wheel, slab rolling machine are available for members’ use.

Open Studio is available for use on:
Wednesday: 1pm to 4pm
Thursday : 1pm - 930pm
Friday: Wed: 1pm to 4pm
Saturday: 930am to 1230pm
(Hours may differ for Public Holidays and ad-hoc occassions)

• Be kind, courteous and show mutual respect to other members’ way of creation and working.

• Be mindful and not cause any inconvenience to other members when using the space.

• Each member is responsible for cleaning up the tools, wheels/machine after they have used it.

• Usage of glaze spray and glaze atomizer is not allowed to create a safe environment for everyone.

• No sanding of ceramics including green and bisque ware to create a safe environment for everyone.
